The Palisades
Pacific Palisades is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles that runs from the bluffs above Pacific Coast Highway up into the canyons. It includes the Huntington Palisades, the Riviera, Rustic Canyon, Castellammare, the Alphabet Streets, Marquez Knolls and the Palisades Highlands. The Eames House, Case Study House No. 8, survived the 2025 fire and has reopened.
After the 2025 fire
The Palisades Fire, which began on January 7, 2025, destroyed more than 6,800 structures, and rebuilding is under way across the community. Palisades Village reopened in August 2026 after restoration.
Most of Pacific Palisades is in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. New construction there follows California Building Code Chapter 7A wildland-urban interface standards and needs Class A roofing.
