Planning lighting into a rebuild
If your home is being rebuilt, it's easier to decide where the lighting controller, power and wire runs go while the walls and eaves are open. Your architect or builder can then show them on the plans.
Rebuilds in the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone follow Chapter 7A ignition-resistant construction. The mounting details for roofline lighting should be agreed with your builder so they suit the eave and fascia assembly your plans call for. We'd rather join that conversation early than drill into a finished eave later.
Bluffs, canyons and ocean air
Homes on the Castellammare bluffs face the ocean head-on. Rustic Canyon and the Highlands get the marine layer drifting up the canyons. Either way, mounting hardware has to cope with moisture and salt, and we'll go over hardware choices for that exposure at the consultation.
