General

How much do permanent roofline lights cost in Fresno?

It depends mostly on how many linear feet you light, how high the roofline is, how many peaks and corners it has, how many zones you want to control separately, and which system you choose. Use the roofline estimator to set up your home, then we confirm everything with a free measure and a written quote.

Can I see the lights during the day?

The lights sit in a low-profile track mounted along the fascia, so from the street they read as a thin trim line by day. Switch to Day in the scene demo above to see the idea.

Will permanent lights hold up to Fresno summers?

Outdoor permanent systems are built for sun and heat, but ratings differ by product. Check the ingress (IP) rating and the operating-temperature range on the spec sheet. Our guide to heat, UV and IP ratings explains what they mean.

Should I choose JellyFish or Govee?

We install both. JellyFish is the premium system sold through professional installers; Govee is a smart-value system that we mount professionally. We'll recommend what fits your home and budget. Read the side-by-side comparison.

Who covers the warranty?

Two warranties apply to any permanent system. The manufacturer covers the product under its own terms, and the installer covers the workmanship. Your written quote spells out both. Learn how the two differ.

Who handles the electrical side?

Most systems plug into an exterior outlet through a power supply and controller. Outlets should be GFCI-protected. If your home needs a new outlet or circuit, that is work for a licensed electrician, and we flag it during the measure so there are no surprises.

Will installation damage my roof, tile or stucco?

The track mounts along the fascia board, not on the roof covering itself. Tile roofs, stucco and gutters each need a different approach. See how mounting works on Central Valley homes.

Does my HOA need to approve permanent lights?

Check your CC&Rs or ask your HOA. Many care about how lighting looks and when it's used. A system that disappears into the trim by day is usually easier to fit within exterior guidelines, and we can share product details for your application.

When should I book Christmas light installation?

As early as you can. The weeks around Thanksgiving fill first. Our guide on when to book holiday lights explains the timing.

Do you light businesses and HOAs?

Yes. We plan commercial permanent and holiday lighting for storefronts, restaurants, offices, churches and HOA common areas. Request a walkthrough and tell us your activation date and vendor requirements.

Permanent Roofline Lighting

How much do permanent Christmas lights cost in Fresno?

It depends on your home. Linear feet of roofline, the number of stories, corners and peaks, how many zones or controllers you need, and whether you choose JellyFish or Govee all change the price. We measure your roofline for free and give you a written quote with your exact number.

Can you see permanent lights during the day?

Not much. A pro system sits in a low-profile track along the fascia, matched to your trim, so it reads as part of the roofline. Most people walking by won’t notice it until the lights come on.

Will the install damage my roof or fascia?

The lights mount along the fascia, not on the roof covering itself. Tile, stucco and gutters each call for a different approach, and we explain exactly how we’ll attach on your home during the measure, before you sign anything.

Should I choose JellyFish or Govee?

JellyFish is the premium, pro-installed system with a color-matched track. Govee is the smart-value option, professionally mounted, at a lower total cost. Both are app-controlled and do warm white and full color. We’ll recommend one after we see your roofline and hear how you want to use it.

Do permanent holiday lights hold up in Fresno heat?

Both systems we install are designed for year-round outdoor use and carry manufacturer weather ratings. Heat and sun are the main stressors in the Valley, so we plan controller and wire placement with that in mind. Our Fresno heat and UV guide explains what the ratings mean.

Will permanent lights raise my electric bill?

LED roofline lights draw little power, especially at the brightness most people use every night. Your cost depends on how many feet you light, how bright, how many hours, and your PG&E rate. Our electricity cost guide walks through the math.

What warranty comes with the system?

There are two layers. The lights and controller carry the manufacturer’s product warranty, under JellyFish’s or Govee’s own terms. Our workmanship warranty covers the install itself, and your written quote spells out exactly what it covers.

Do I need an electrician?

Often not. The controller plugs into an exterior outlet, ideally a GFCI-protected one with a weather cover. If your home needs a new outlet or circuit, that work should be done by a licensed electrician, and we’ll tell you during the measure if that applies.

Do you work with property managers and HOAs?

Yes. HOA entries, clubhouses and common buildings are a natural fit, and we’re used to working with one site contact and a board or manager approval. Tell us who signs off and we’ll plan the proposal around that.

Can the lights show our brand colors?

Yes. Both systems we install do full color and warm white from an app. You can run brand colors every night, switch to holiday looks in season and schedule special looks for events.

Can you install outside business hours?

Tell us your access windows in the walkthrough request, including whether work needs to happen before opening or after close. We plan the install around them and confirm the schedule in your proposal.

Do you provide a certificate of insurance or other vendor documents?

List your vendor requirements, including insurance certificates, W-9s or badging, in your walkthrough request. We’ll confirm in writing what we can provide before anything is scheduled.

How early should we plan commercial holiday lighting?

As early as you can. Commercial projects work backward from your activation date, and custom designs, approvals and access windows all add lead time. Request a walkthrough well before the season so there’s room to plan.

Who handles the power?

The controller and power supply plug into exterior outlets. During the walkthrough we look at where your outlets are. If the property needs a new outlet or circuit, that work should be done by a licensed electrician.

Can our staff control the lights?

Yes. The lights run from an app, and we set up schedules so they turn on and off without anyone remembering. At handoff we show your staff how to change looks.

Do you serve businesses outside Fresno and Clovis?

Yes. Our service area also covers Madera, Sanger, Selma, Kingsburg, Visalia and Hanford.

Christmas Light Installation

How much does Christmas light installation cost in Fresno?

It depends on how much roofline you want lit, the height of the house, the design and what’s included, such as take-down. We give you a written quote with the price and every inclusion listed, so you can compare it fairly with other offers.

Do you provide the lights, or can you use mine?

Your written quote states whether lights are supplied and who keeps them after the season. If you already own lights, mention it in your request and we’ll tell you whether they can be part of the plan.

Is take-down included?

Take-down and what happens to the lights afterward are spelled out in your quote. It’s one of the most important questions to ask any installer before you book.

When should I book Christmas light installation?

Earlier is better. Install calendars fill as the season approaches, and booking ahead gives you more choice of dates and time to get the design right. If it’s already late in the season, ask anyway and we’ll tell you what’s possible.

What if part of the display goes out during the season?

Ask any installer how in-season fixes are handled and whether there’s a charge. Your written quote from us states how in-season fixes work for your install.

Will clips damage my roof or gutters?

Professional installs use clips made for shingles, tile or gutters instead of nails or staples. We’ll show you how the lights attach to your home before install day.

Can I switch to permanent lights later?

Yes. Plenty of homeowners start with seasonal lights and go permanent later. We can quote a permanent roofline system for the same house whenever you’re ready.

Do you hang lights outside Fresno and Clovis?

Yes. We also serve Madera, Sanger, Selma, Kingsburg, Visalia and Hanford.

Accent & Security Lighting

Can permanent lights be used every day, not just on holidays?

Yes. That’s how most owners use them. A soft warm white on a dusk schedule is the everyday setting, and holiday colors are a tap away when the season comes.

Are roofline lights bright enough for security?

At full brightness in white, they add even light around the whole house from the eaves. That helps with visibility at the driveway, entry and side yards. For a very dark back corner, a dedicated light may still make sense, so ask us about your yard.

Can the lights turn on automatically at sunset?

You can schedule them to come on at dusk and go off at a set time or at dawn. Many lighting apps can follow local sunset so the schedule adjusts with the seasons. We set up your schedules with you at install.

Will my neighbors or HOA mind?

Warm white at a moderate brightness reads as architectural lighting, not a light show, and you can dim it after a set hour. HOA rules vary, so check your guidelines before install. We can give you product details for an application.

Do you install motion-sensor lights, landscape lighting or cameras?

Ask us. Mention what you have in mind in your quote request and we’ll tell you plainly what we can take on.

What does it cost to run the lights every night?

LED roofline lights draw little power. Your actual cost depends on how many feet you light, the brightness, the hours and your PG&E rate. Our electricity cost guide shows how to estimate it.

Can I control the lights when I’m away?

Yes. The system runs from an app on your phone, so you can turn lights on, switch to bright white or change schedules from anywhere with a connection.
