A parade the day after Thanksgiving
The City of Hanford holds its Christmas Parade downtown at 6 pm on the day after Thanksgiving. That's earlier than most valley towns, so downtown storefronts need to be lit by the end of November. Winter Wonderland at Civic Center Park adds an ice rink and a tree lighting.
Lighting for evening events
Downtown Hanford hosts evening events through the year. One is the China Alley Moon Festival in early October. A permanent system on a downtown building can switch looks for each event and run warm white the rest of the time.
